One Day Vegan Detox
Are you ready to detox your mind and body?! If you’re feeling heavy or lacking in energy, it’s time to cleanse your system. A detox doesn’t need to be a long, drawn-out process. What if I told you that you can detox in just ONE DAY?
Ready?! Let’s do this!
When you first wake up in the morning, have warm water with lemon and ginger.
Squeeze the juice of one lemon or lime into one quart of warm water. Grate in some fresh ginger to taste. It’s that simple to get your morning hydration and anti-inflammation!
Your detox-day breakfast will be a delicious green smoothie! Blend together the following ingredients until smooth:
2 cups of pineapple
1 stalk of celery
1 cup of spinach
juice of 1 lemon or lime
1 cup of water
For your first snack, eat an apple! If you like, cut it up and sprinkle it with cinnamon for extra deliciousness.
Lunch will be a plate of delicious veggies with brown rice.
In a medium pot with a bit of water, steam 2 cups of broccoli florets, 1 cup of sliced carrots, and 1 cup of spinach until the veggies are tender. Serve with 2 cups of brown rice on the side. If you want, cube half an avocado and put it on top!
If you get hungry in the afternoon, have a second snack!
Cut up a cucumber into thick strips, like big French fries. Squeeze some lemon or lime juice on top, and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. This is so yummy and refreshing!
Today’s dinner is a super-simple soup.
2 cups vegetable broth
1 heaping cup of 1” green bean pieces
1 cup sliced carrots
1 or 2 potatoes, diced
1 cup water
salt, pepper, and cayenne powder to taste
fresh cilantro to taste
Place all the ingredients except the cilantro in a pot. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Stir in the cilantro, serve, and enjoy!
Eating like this will help you cleanse your system, but it’s important to cleanse your mind and spirit too! Let go of all the negative thoughts and feelings you’re holding onto so that your mind can feel just as refreshed and rejuvenated as your body.
